The Monash Medical Orchestra (MMO) is a group of over 80 Monash medical students committed to the celebration and appreciation of music. This symphony orchestra was founded in 2011 by a group of passionate medical musicians and continues to be supported by an actively engaged alumni network that extends over a decade. 

MMO was created out of a collective desire to provide fellow peers with ongoing opportunities for musical expression amidst the rigorous demands of a medical curriculum. Recognising the tendency for students to sideline their musical interests in the face of academic commitments, MMO serves as an important creative outlet, fostering a shared passion for music among medical students and connecting them with the broader community.
